We’re pleased to announce the successful completion of our three-year Interim Surveillance Audit for the Background Screening Agency Accreditation Program (BSAAP) with the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS) Background Screening Credentialing Council (BSCC). I’m fully aware that that was a mouthful, so let me restate in English:

EmployeeScreenIQ has successfully demonstrated continued compliance with the BSAAP’s Accreditation Standards and will continue to be formally recognized as BSCC-Accredited. This recognition represents EmployeeScreenIQ’s continued commitment to excellence, accountability, high professional standards and continued institutional improvement.

Accreditation is an important seal of approval that all companies should look for when choosing a background screening provider.  It is the only program in the background screening field that proves a provider’s procedures are compliant with industry best practices and affirms industry knowledge and expertise.

To become accredited, background screening companies must pass a rigorous onsite audit, conducted by an independent inspector, of their policies and procedures as they relate to the following critical areas:

  • Legal Compliance
  • Consumer Protection
  • Information Security
  • Organizational Integrity and Ethics
  • Ability to Train and Educate Clients
  • Accuracy and Depth of Products
  • Quality and Accuracy of Public Record Researchers and Background Specialists
  • Employees’ Background Check Expertise

In order to maintain accreditation, the accredited agency must verify continuing compliance with the BSAAP Accredited Agency, must not have any unresolved NAPBS or BSCC complaints or grievances of any kind and  must be able to meet all current eligibility requirements.
